Review: Ms. Marvel, Vol. 3: Crushed

Ms. Marvel, Vol. 3: Crushed Ms. Marvel, Vol. 3: Crushed by G. Willow Wilson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ms Marvel is one of the rare on-going comic series that continues to delight the reader with each issues that is realised. This is, of course, all due - in my humble opinion - to the appeal of lead character Kamala Khan, who is adorkable personified. The amount of effort she puts in to just trying to be a good person, and trying to be someone who could be called a hero is heartwarming to see. That she seems to be always aware that her powers are meant to help someone is also a good thing, and in with her concerns about her hero life, we become aware of her concerns for her own personal life.

Volume 3's title in particular refers to an old friend who the family to whom she is reintroduced - with the parents intention to be possible to encourage a wedding somewhere down the line. Now, Kamala remembers this person as being very annoying, but on their reintroduction? It's like they're perfect for each other, and made to be together. Remember the warning Kamala, sometimes things are too good to be true...

G. Willow Wilson continues the first rate writing that has been in place since the first issue, and I can only hope that it will long continue!
